An information meeting to explain the requirements of the program.
Training to prepare interns for the TExES content – certification exam. Interns must pass this exam to be classified as “highly qualified” for the No Child Left Behind Act.
Includes the lesson cycle, classroom management and classroom observations of an experienced teacher.. The interns will complete specific activities, including teaching lessons.
Six (6) to nine (9) semester hours will be completed during the summer.
Training for interns to begin learning the HISD CLEAR Curriculum, state mandated grade level objectives (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills – TEKS). The interns will also develop activities and lesson plans.
